What is it ?
The
Tankslapper is made from a crystal clear polished
poly vinyl. We tested many manufactures of this type of material
and found one that worked 10 times better than most we tried.
Most of the material We tested was not quite as flexible as it needed to
be, and wouldn't conform to the various contours of a tank pocket. None,
had the adhesive quality of this material. This vinyl is durable,
pliable, crystal clear and has outstanding adhesion. It's only .8 mil
thick so it nearly disappears into your tank. There is no sticky
adhesive, so the installation is much easier and will only take you
minutes. And it stays in place Guaranteed
.
How does it
work ?
There are 2 reasons why the Tankslapper
works so well. Reason 1 is the material. This vinyl was
designed to stick to any smooth painted metal, glass or plastic surface.
The second reason is the install
. When applying the Tankslapper you're creating a vacuum between the
material and the tank. You will see that once applied, the Tankslapper
is on until you want it to come off. Check out the
install page and see how easy it goes on and how
invisible it is after applied. No need to worry if you're getting it on
straight or in the right place. And when you want to wash the bugs off
your tank it's not a problem. You can actually leave it on when
you wash your bike ! If the polished finish starts getting a
little dull just throw a coat of wax or some Plexal on it and it looks
new again. Compare
that to some of the other products on the market.
Lets
face it.
Tank
Bra's take away from the look of your bike and move around allot. They
are also difficult to remove when you want to wash your bike. The little
mini pads that you can stick on the back of your tank just don't give
you the coverage everywhere you need it. Do you really want to put pad's
and bra's on your bike anyway ? We don't think so. The Tankslapper is an
easy, and inexpensive, it has a no hassle install and does what it's
supposed to. No need for Aerospace engineering to keep some scratches
off your tank. Give the Tankslapper a try. We
think it's the best option out there for keeping your tank scratch free.
Especially when you're draggin' your knee through
the twisties.
